Will my boyfriend get my ear infection? I let him borrow my ear phones?

i let my boyfriend borrow my earphones for a day or two. I have a history of having some ugly inner ear infections. It seems to be going away & getting a lot better, But there's been times where my ears have some kinda clear drainage from them and I get them on my earphones. that hasn't happened in a while tho. i'm afraid he'll get it too. I told him about it and he said he'll be fine and that he will rub alcohol on them just in case... I know this is nasty but I would like to know.
