Why do people hate mormons so much?

Well, I don't hate Mormons but the Mormon church is basically a cult. It is not a Christian faith, as it doesn't believe that Jesus Christ is THE son of a God. Rather, they see him as A son of God and feel that anyone can become his equal. That's blasphemy in Christianity. If you're happy with it, great, but don't fool yourself into thinking it's a mainstream religion, because it's not. Also, be prepared to tithe like nobodies business and if you don't, they WILL pay you a visit at your home, and I'm serious.
