Does he want children with me?

Just sit him down again and stress that you really want to have children and tell him you want to know for sure that he won't get a vasectomy because you really want to have children, and you'd think he'd make a great father if you two were to raise a family. Since you hugged you and said he wouldn't get one, I'm sure he's not lieing to you, but just double check.
