Much Ado About Radiohead?

I've been reading through and hearing a lot of praise around Radiohead (sorry if I'm sounding naive hear) and I wanted to know what work of theirs I should listen to, to get a general idea. I don't want to be into them just so I can say I am, I just want to understand their work. I"m very open musically (but mostly into clics); The Strokes, Led Zep, Dr. John, Bill Withers, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, The White Stripes, Kings of Leon, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, B.B. King, Professor Longhair, The Dixie Cups, Scott Joplin, Beethoven, New Order, Mahalia Jackson, Lykke Li, The Kooks, Kasabian, Regina Spektor, Devotchka, Jason Mraz, Little Joy, anything with good instruments/lyrics or at least where the song is composed well I take a liking to.
