Is it unusual to be pro-life AND pro-gay rights?

I'm a Republican and strongly pro-life, but I support gay rights, gay marriage, LBGT civil unions, and am very happy that "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" was repealed. The problem is that most politicians who support gay rights also support the slaughter of innocent human life (abortion). I could never with a clear conscience vote for a poltician who supports abortion. But almost all pro-life Republicans have policies that will oppress gays. And the few Republicans that DO support gay rights also support abortion. That makes things very complicated for me in voting in primaries and elections. If I vote Republican, millions of lives could be saved, but gays will be oppressed. If I vote Democrat, phobic policies will end and gays will have liberty, but millions of lives will be lost in abortions. And it would be impractical to vote third party, since they have virtually no possiblility of winning. What should I do?
