Can u stop takin your birth control in the middle of the package?

i was just wondering if you could stop takin your birth conrtol in the middle of the package. Me and my husband want to try for a baby but i'm in the middle of my b/c. I just want to know if that will really throw my cycle out of lupe or it doesnt matter if i finish them or not
